Juventus® Pau D'Arco is a food supplement based on Tabebuia impetiginosa, also known as Pau d'Arco or Ipê-roxo. The bark of Pau d'Arco contains a high level of naphthaquinones, responsible for the properties traditionally known and attributed to this plant.

Tabebuia impetiginosa is one of the most traditionally used species. It is thought that the properties of Pau d'Arco are associated with the presence of naphthoquinones, especially la-pachol, B-lapachones and furanonaphthoquinones.
Pau d'Arco has been used for many years in traditional medicine for a variety of conditions. It is useful in situations such as fungal and bacterial infections, gastric ulcers and in strengthening the immune system. It is thought that the compounds responsible for these properties are naphthaquinones (e.g. lapachol). Among its properties, its effects as antibacterial, antifungal, immunostimulant, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory stand out.
Furthermore, it can be used by diabetics as it helps to regulate blood glucose levels.
