In Sanskrit texts, the importance of vetiver in cooking, medicine and in the composition of perfumes is reported. Deeply rooted, this plant can have roots up to 2 meters, in India it was used as an insect repellent. Obtained by distillation of the roots, vetiver essential oil is used in major perfume brands. It has calming and relaxing characteristics, and is also a good skin regenerator.
